Eating Out in St. Vincent

As I discuss in my book on St. Vincent ( on the web at eating out is still a little inconsistent in St. Vincent. It all depends on the relationship between the chef and the owner. We have been to very expensive restaurants (say 100 ECD plus per person) where the food will be wonderful one day and just adquate another. We eat lunch in restaurants in town for 10-20 ECD where the food is plain home style cooking but consistent. Many of the hotels with restaurants will be able to keep a chef for a season, and your concierge will probably be able to give you good advice. But don't expect 5-star cuisine anywhere, so that if you get it the surprise will add to your pleasure.
