Two fascinating books edited by Cheryl and Baldwin King and Kenneth John of extracts from Flambeau Magazine (1965-8)

"Search for Identity" primarily concerns itself about St. Vincent, historically and contemporaneously.

"Quest for Caribbean Unity" looks at regional considerations.

Both are highly recommended for anyone interested in St. Vincent. I was particularly interested because of the essay I had written on the song "Joshua Gone Barbados". Flambeau was published in the period just after the collapse of the Federation of the West Indies and both the historical and contemporary essays provide a needed context.
