Kingstown Walk (start)

There still isn't any easy guide to Kingstown that  is suitable for the cruise ship passenger who wants to spend a little time on land in Kingstown, St. Vincent and the Grenadines. There is one in my book located at (http://svg.karleklund.net) but that isn't all that convenient because that site is designed to hold a lot more information. So I'll redo that walking trip as a series of blogs. Here's a map of Kingstown to start with.

If you are coming off a cruise ship you will automatically start from point (2) on the map. The ship will let you off at the Cruise Shop Dock, which I'll talk about in the next blog. If you are in a hotel elsewhere, a bus will get you to the bus terminal (11) or a taxi will take you to the Cruise Ship dock. If you have rented a car you can usually park at the Cruise Ship Dock or the parking lot near the Administration Building.

This map covers pretty much all the easy walking areas because the land rises very quickly from the harbor. But there are some interesting things to look at in a reasonable stroll around.
