Cruise Ship Dock
As recently as 1947, when this picture was taken, cargo and passengers were transferred to large rowboats and brought to the beach in Kingstown. Since then part of the land has been dredged and filled in for dockage.
Most recently, a special pier has been built for cruise ships.
Leaving the ship one enters the Cruise Ship building, with botiques and offices for the Tourism Department.
A typical botique.
